Colletti Motorsports: Mechanical Ineptitude

Alright, let me see what is next in Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti's BBB statement.

"He says he is driving straight down to Florida. We hear absolutely nothing from him until October 22, 2013. 10 months have gone by."

Well, one thing that he is right about, is that I was driving straight down to Florida.  In the last post, I showed an email, between Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti, and me that stated I was taking the car to another mechanic in Florida to have his work checked over.

He then says he hears nothing from me until October 22, 2013.  This was accurate.  One day off but close enough.  I do not dispute this.  (see email below)  The car arrived at the new mechanic shortly after arriving in Florida (January).  I had called the new mechanic up, before I even picked up the car from Ohio, to see if he could look of Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti's work.  I explained the entire situation to him and said I do not trust his work.

After getting my car to Florida, I call the new mechanic up and he is not able to receive the car for two more weeks.  I drive the car around town a couple of times and that was it.  I did not want to do anything harmful or reckless to my car so Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti could blame me for anything.

The new mechanic doesn't even get around to looking at my car until May, 2013.  At first everything appears to be ok.  He does some minor checking.  I asked him to install 60lb/hr injectors.  I talked about this in another post as well, where Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti charged me for 8 fuel injectors that were inferior.  I also had him do some other things as well, like tint the windows, find a spare tire and install the car jack in the trunk, and some other minor cosmetic things.  I had a full one page list of things for him to do.

More months go by and I call the new mechanic up and he says he was just about to call me.  He said he had finished the list of things to do and was tuning the car when he noticed water in the oil.  He said that Steve (the "ripper off-er") Colletti used head gaskets that are known to fail often in Buick Grand Nationals.  Later, after the new mechanic delves further into the engine, I learn that the camshaft and front camshaft bearing are bad as well.  This I will talk about in another post.

  3. Lending you my support as well. Not only does Colletti Motorsports cheat consumers, they cheat on the race track as well.
